Part 3: “The Billionaire Learned Who The Real Thief Was”

Part 3: “The Billionaire Learned Who The Real Thief Was”

Victoria laughed.

A sharp, nervous laugh.

“This is ridiculous.”

“Someone put it there.”

Richard looked at her.

For three years, Emily had never lied.

Never stolen.

Never raised her voice.

And yet he had thrown her out without asking a single question.

Because Victoria had cried.

Because evidence had appeared.

Because he wanted the easy answer.

Security chief Michael Turner stepped forward.

“We checked the camera footage.”

Victoria's face lost color.

“The upstairs hallway camera shows Ms. Lane entering Miss Emily’s room twenty minutes before the watch was discovered.”

Silence.

Total silence.

Richard felt as if someone had struck him.

“You framed her?” he asked quietly.

Victoria folded her arms.

“You don't understand.”

“Then explain.”

Her voice sharpened.

“I did what was necessary!”

Emily stood very still.

The boys clung to her.

Victoria pointed toward them.

“They ruined everything!”

“Every dinner.”

“Every trip.”

“Every plan.”

“Your whole life revolved around them and her.”

She looked directly at Emily.

“You were just a maid.”

The triplets hid behind Emily.

And Richard saw it.

Not anger.

Not confusion.

Fear.

His children were afraid of the woman he planned to marry.

How long had that been happening?

How much had he missed?

“I loved you,” Richard said quietly.

Victoria laughed bitterly.

“No.”

“You loved the idea of me.”

“You needed someone beautiful beside you at charity galas.”

“You needed someone to replace your dead wife.”

Those words landed like blows.

Then Victoria made her final mistake.

“And honestly,” she said coldly, “those boys should have been sent away years ago.”

Ethan began crying.

That was enough.

Richard pointed toward the gate.

“Leave.”

Victoria blinked.

“What?”

“Leave my property.”

“You can't be serious.”

Richard's voice became ice.

“You framed an innocent woman.”

“You terrified my children.”

“You hurt an animal.”

“You are done.”

Victoria screamed.

Threatened lawsuits.

Threatened scandal.

Threatened revenge.

But no one listened.

Security escorted her away.

The black gates closed behind her.

And for the first time in years...

The mansion became quiet.

Richard turned toward Emily.

He looked exhausted.

Smaller somehow.

“I was wrong,” he said.

Emily said nothing.

“I should have trusted you.”

Still silence.

“I hurt you.”

Emily looked at him.

“You didn’t just hurt me.”

“You hurt them.”

The boys hugged her tightly.

Richard had no answer.

Because she was right.

That evening...

Emily packed her suitcase again.

Not because she was being forced to leave.

Because she intended to go.

Richard found her near the guest house.

“Please stay.”

“No.”

“The boys need you.”

Emily looked at him.

“They need their father.”

Richard lowered his eyes.

And for the first time in many years...

The billionaire had nothing money could solve.

Then little Liam appeared.

Holding Charlie, whose leg had been treated by the veterinarian.

“Miss Emily?”

“Yes?”

“If you leave... who will teach Daddy how to love us?”

Emily felt tears fill her eyes.

Richard turned away.

Because even billionaires break.

May you like

And in that moment...

Richard Hawthorne finally did.
