“Mommy, look! I made a parking garage for my truck!” Leo called out, proudly lining up his plastic blocks against the baseboard.
“It’s the best parking garage I’ve ever seen, buddy,” I laughed, walking over to sit beside him on the floor.
I pulled him close, pressing a soft kiss to the top of his head as he leaned comfortably against my shoulder.
The invoices from the estate were long gone, tossed into a recycling bin months ago.
